"Teen Choice Awards 2012"- Biggest Teen Event of the year!

Lets talk about the biggest teen party in the United States…the “Teen Choice Awards.” The event was celebrated on Sunday July 22, 2012 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA presented by Fox Television with Demi Lovato as the host and Kevin Mchale from the show “Glee” as the co-host. They did a spectacular job together!

In the "Teen Choice Awards" teen-agers between the ages of 13 to 17 have the opportunity to choose their favorite celebrities by voting online at www.teenchoiceawards.com.

“Teen Choice Awards host and new The X Factor judge Demi Lovato said 134 million votes were cast for the 14th annual awards, which honor film, TV, music and sports stars in such silly categories as choice hottie, villain, liplock and hissy fit.”-  Hollywood Reporter

Among the celebrities invited to participate was Miranda Cosgrove the star of the show "iCarly" which received the “Inspire Award” for advocating the importance of higher education in adolescents. At the show we also saw the beautiful Lea Michelle extremely excited shouting to her friend Kevin Mchale while he was co-hosting the show.  Selena Gomez who was celebrating her 20^th birthday looked beautiful with a punchy pink dress, Nina Dobrev stunning as always, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Candice Accola, Mike Trevino, basically the entire cast of “The Vampire Diaries,” Taylor Swift, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Shay Mitchell, the twilight saga stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner and many more artists embraced that night.

The musical performances of the night were DJ Pauly D who served as "Choice DJ" for the night, No Doubt, Florida, Justin Bieber with Big Sean and Carly Rae Jepsen closed the night with her hit "Call me maybe.”

An interesting fact mentioned in the “Teen Choice Awards” was that the Twilight Saga has won a total of 41 surfboard-shaped trophies since 2008. Wow! That is impressive!
