Young Star Making a Difference-“Straight But Not Narrow”

“Straight, gay & everything in between, why does it matter?” -SBNN

What would happen in the world if we were all alike? Unique people would not exist, we could not appreciate the differences among us . Life would be so sad and boring.
Actually it's great knowing that the world is not that way! Everyone is different and those differences are what make us unique individuals, independent beings with freedom of choice.

Unfortunately, life is not as easy for those who do not meet the "stereotype" that society imposes on you. Many suffer abuse because of their different ways and this issue starts in schools.

Though we must point out the existence of those of us who believe in change and if we all do our part we can make things better.

For this reason I am proud to inform you about an organization formed by young actor Avan Jogia teamed up with two graduates of Full Sail University, Heather Wilk and Andre Pochon (Cause Creative Marketing) against the abuse of gay youth and adolescents.

“Straight But Not Narrow” is a non-profit organization against bullying toward gay teens. “SBNN” finds its motivation and foundation in the fact that although the world has many campaigns for gay rights, there is none focused on educating young heterosexuals against the mistreatment of others that are different.

“It is for this reason that we are building a campaign that is primarily directed to the young, straight male by using comedy and their peers to positively influence their views on LGBT teens.” - SBNN

Many celebrities, such as Josh Hutcherson, Cory Monteith, Matt Bennett, Ryan Rottman, Erin Sandres, have joined this beautiful campaign.

I am against the mistreatment of others and I believe that it is wonderful to see that celebrities are getting involved in the current fight to improve society.

There is nothing wrong in being different; on the contrary being different is what makes us special.

Say NO to Bullying!
