My Passion within the Entertainment Industry

http://theblackdiamondgroup.net

Everyone has a favorite area within the Entertainment industry, I happen to have two: TV and Live event productions. I didn’t discover this until the year 2011 when I worked for Univision Networks on their live event awards show “Premios Juventud", which has been the best experience of my life. I was working on a Live TV production while having a great time. The day of the show I said to myself: "this is what I am going to be doing for the rest of my life". Luckily, a year after that I found myself working with them again in their other awards ceremony called “Premios Lo Nuestro."

Making your Business a Reality: Learn how to do it

Being in the position of an investor is the easy part. As an investor there is only one thing that worries you, how are you going to get your money back?  Well, there is another thing: how can you duplicate or triplicate that money. By observing Robert Herjavec and Kevin O’Leary I learn interesting things each time. I analyze their questions, advices and decisions when making a deal with an entrepreneur. Sometimes we are so involved in our business and we believe and love it so much, that we do not sit down and analyze every detail there is. It is amazing to see how investors like Kevin and Robert make you reason about the product or service you are bringing to the table. Most of the time Robert will ask for equity on the company, but Kevin will ask for royalties or he will want to make a licensing deal for the product or service.

Road to Hall of Fame- Full Sail University

Since we are in award season let me talk to you a little bit about one of the biggest celebrations my school has every year since 2009: Hall of Fame. During Hall of Fame, Full Sail University recognizes the amazing achievements of select graduates who have outshined in their career field.  The great thing of this event is that it’s not only a ceremony giving an award to each graduate; it’s a whole week of seminars and events committed to the students.

The Biggest celebration for Movies: The Oscars!

The biggest celebration for movies just happened this past weekend.  The Academy Awards or how everyone knows them “The Oscars,” is the biggest award celebration for outstanding filmmaking achievements.
Just so you know, last year the Academy signed a 6-year extension of their distribution contract with ABC, in which the event will be aired through this channel until 2020.
"We are excited to be able to extend our agreement to deliver the world's biggest celebration of entertainment to audiences around the globe. We look forward to building on the foundation of our relationship with the Academy, and working together to reach new audiences on new platforms in the years ahead."- Anne Sweeney
