I am a 90’s girl and knowing that one of my
favorite music pop idols is releasing her new album soon makes me extremely happy.
One of the best voices ever, Ms. Christina
Aguilera announced that her new album “Lotus” will be available on iTunes
November 13. I am excited to listen to what
she is bringing up with her new CD.
“Lotus:
Representing an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest
conditions and still thrives." - Christina Aguilera.
The album’s themes
are “Self-expression and freedom.” Aguilera says “The album represents a
rebirth for her."
Her new record
brings duets with country singer Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green. Both of them
work with Christina as vocal coaches and judges on NBC’s reality talent show
“The Voice.”
Christina
premiered her new video of the new single “Your Body” which is included in the “Lotus”
album on September 2012. The video has more than 24 million views on YouTube
already. Something tells me that this new CD will be a huge success in
Aguilera’s career. This is the right time for her to show the world one more
time how huge she is.
For those who do
not know who Christina Aguilera is, she is a singer-songwriter who began her
career at a young age in “The New Mickey Mouse Club.” Christina has won numerous awards including a
Grammy in 1999 for best new artist with the song “Genie in a Bottle.” In 2000,
she recorded her first Spanish-speaking album -“Mi Reflejo” to acknowledge her
Hispanic roots. Because of this, in 2001
she won a Latin Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Album. Her music career has been astounding; she has
performed with stars such as, Andrea Bocelli, Ricky Martin, Tony Bennett, Adam
Levine and many more.
I haven’t heard
the entire new CD, but I heard “Just a Fool” and “Blank Page” and they are
amazing! I have been following her career since the beginning and she’s had ups
and downs like any other artist. I wish her the best with “Lotus”!
